Fimo Statment Necklace

Make any simple white T-shirt a fashion statement with our colourful necklaces in trendy colours. You can make the geometric shapes in a flash, and with a few little tricks you can also make the patterned arch. This way, you can quickly and easily hold a homemade and individual piece of jewellery in your hand.

Roll tube: Start with a FIMO half block in the trendy colour pink grapefruit and knead it smoothly. Sprinkle the mixture onto the thick wire and roll it into a 25 cm long tube. Press the FIMO firmly around the wire and then smooth the tube again.

Make the loops: For the colourful pattern, cut fine strips from both colours, roll them into shape with your finger and bend them into small loops. Place the shapes all around the tube and carefully roll the surface smooth again at the end.

Bend tube: To remove the tube from the wire, it is best to carefully roll it over the surface again at the two ends of the wire, so that the hole becomes larger. In addition, you can bend the wire back and forth and always twist it slightly when pulling it out. Carefully place the arch-shaped tubes on a piece of baking paper.

Flat beads: For the flat, round pearls in the colour mango caramel, simply roll out the FIMO and use the circular shape to cut out 6 beads (approx. 2 cm). To thread, you will need a small hole in the middle of the circle.

Ball: For the final element, roll a ball (approx. 2 cm) in your hand. Use the bead piercing needle to drill a hole. Remove the bead from the needle again and gently make it round, reattach it and then put it in the oven for hardening.

Hardening: Put all the elements in the oven on baking paper for 30 minutes at 110°C.

Edges: After cooling, use a cutter to cut the ends of the tubes straight and sand the edges. Sand the yellow beads with sandpaper as well.

Threading and knotting: Shorten the cord to approx. 68 cm long and thread all shapes one after the other. Tie the string and pull the knot into the tube.

And the necklace is ready!
